Fees
DVA, Motor Vehicle Insurance and Workers’ Compensation Insurance claims:-
Accounts will be sent directly to the insurer, there will be no out of pocket expenses.
Privately Insured Patients
If you do require surgery, you will be provided with a full quote of costs involved prior to booking surgery.
Surgery fees include all in-patient care and daily visits by Dr Buelow, as well as post-operative follow-up visits within the first 6 weeks.
In-patient Physiotherapy costs at Hollywood hospital are included in the surgery fee.
If you require x-ray or blood tests whilst you are in hospital, this is usually at no additional cost.
Health funds differ in how they reimburse you, some provide better contributions for surgery fees than others. Your surgery out of pocket expenses (gap) will therefore depend on which Health fund you are insured with, your individual level of cover and the type of surgery you require.
New Patient consultations: $195, you will get $73 by Medicare
Note: Although you do not need a referral to see Dr Buelow, having a referral will get you a higher rebate from medicare.
Following consultations: $90, you will receive $37 back from Medicare.
